Bolivia and Venezuela
Our recent spat with these two countries started because they say we are interfering with their governments. We say that we aren't.
As a litmus test for stupidity -- which side do you believe?
Bolivia has ranked the most poverty stricken country in South America for more than a century. Now they have a populist leader that wants to do things differently. We oppose that and would like a return to power of the 'old government.'
I am not sure how some one doing something new could hurt at this point -- for gods sake, they really couldn't do much worse for the average Bolivian.
Maybe with another election, and another 100 years it might get better. How many years does it take to see a failed policy that hurts everyone but the small elite?
Maybe eight years if we are lucky, but who knows for the Indians of Bolivia.
